Raipur, 01 May 2025: Under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, the Chhattisgarh government has released the payment of the fifteenth installment of the month of May 2025 today on the 1st of May. The Women and Child Development Department has transferred a total assistance amount of Rs 648.38 crore to the bank accounts of more than 69.32 lakh women of the state. It is worth noting that this scheme was started by the Chhattisgarh government in March 2024 to strengthen women financially. So far, an amount of Rs 9788.78 crore has been provided to the women of the state in 15 consecutive months. Under the scheme, assistance of one thousand rupees per month is provided to married, widowed, divorced and abandoned women in the age group of 21 to 60 years.
Appeal to update Aadhaar card The Women and Child Development Department has appealed to the beneficiary women to get their Aadhaar card updated, so that there is no problem in the payment of the amount. It is necessary to know that it is mandatory to update the Aadhar card every 10 years. The payment of many beneficiaries has been cancelled due to the Aadhar being inactive. Such beneficiaries are required to go to the Aadhar centre and update the Aadhar along with the identity and residence proof, so that the payment of the next installment can be ensured.
