Raipur 12 January 2025: Famous industrialist Gautam Adani made a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today at the Chief Minister’s residence office. Chief Minister Shri Sai welcomed him to Chhattisgarh by presenting him a shawl and Nandi made by local artists. During the meeting with Chief Minister Sai, Shri Adani announced an investment of more than Rs 65 thousand crore in the field of energy and cement in Chhattisgarh. Shri Adani said that Adani Group will invest Rs 60 thousand crore to expand its power plants in Raipur, Korba and Raigarh in Chhattisgarh. Through these projects, the power generation capacity of the state will increase by an additional 6,120 MW.
Chairman Mr Adani further said that Adani Group will also invest Rs 5,000 crore for the development and expansion of cement plants in the state. He also assured all possible cooperation from the state government. He said that this investment would not only strengthen the economic and industrial position of Chhattisgarh but would also prove to be an important step towards making it one of the leading states of the country.
