15-day Robotics And Coding Summer Camp Organized At MM School, Raipur

Raipur, 27.03.2025: IEEE Kalinga University Student Branch, in collaboration with Bharat Drone Systems, is successfully organizing a 15-day Summer Camp on Robotics and Coding for school students from March 20, 2025 to April 5, 2025 at MM School.
The main objective of this summer camp is to make students aware of the basic and advanced techniques of robotics, artificial intelligence, and programming. This unique initiative is designed for school students from class 4 to 8, giving them practical experience on advanced topics like robotics, programming, and drone technology embedded systems, IoT, and machine learning.
The summer camp is led by Director, IQAC, Kalinga University, Raipur, Chhattisgarh; Secretary, IEEE MP Section; Chairperson, IEEE WIE AG MP Section; and Dr. Vijayalakshmi Biradar, Chair, Education Society, IEEE MP Section 2025. Additionally, a team of enthusiastic IEEE student volunteers including Priyanshu Singh, Piyush Srivastava, Vedant Raj, Koda Aayushi Rao and Simpy Kumari have been actively facilitating and guiding the students throughout the program. Also, Ashwin Sahu and Hemant Sahu have played a key role in coordinating the practical sessions, ensuring a seamless and engaging practical learning experience.

The main objective of this summer camp is:

1. To introduce students to the fundamentals of programming and robotics.

2. To acquaint students with modern coding platforms and automation tools.

3. To enhance students’ knowledge about drone technology and its real-world applications.

4. To provide students with skills that are essential for future careers in STEM fields.

The camp is also aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 by emphasising on experiential learning, critical thinking, and technology-driven education. Additionally, the camp encourages a holistic learning experience, empowering students to think creatively and develop a problem-solving mindset in line with the policy’s vision of transforming education in India.

The camp is structured to cover basic as well as advanced concepts in block-based coding, game development, and robotics, using platforms such as mBlock 5, Scratch, Kodi Rocky, and mBot.

The camp is witnessing tremendous participation from students, and workshops on more advanced technologies will be conducted in the next ten days. This camp is a golden opportunity for students interested in the field of technology and innovation.
