Raipur, 11 August 2025: Under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, an amount of ₹ 152 crore 84 lakh was directly transferred to the bank accounts of more than 1 lakh 41 thousand farmers of Chhattisgarh today. This amount will provide financial security to the farmers along with compensation for crop loss. On this occasion, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and said that under their visionary leadership, this scheme has become a safety shield for the farmers. Chief Minister Sai said that today more than 30 lakh farmers across the country have benefited from insurance claim amount of more than ₹ 3,200 crore. He said that the protection of the food providers and their prosperity is our top priority. With the guidance and resolve of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the door to prosperity and economic security of farmers has opened. Chief Minister Sai said that the Chhattisgarh Government is committed to effectively implement the public welfare schemes of the Central Government with complete transparency and promptness, so that the farmers of the state can become more economically empowered and move towards self-reliance.
